Mark’s exposure to gardening started at 12 years of age as an unofficial apprentice in the family gardening business which successfully operated in Dubbo for over 15 years.

Keen to pursue a corporate career, Mark completed a Bachelor of Business (Honours) which lead to roles in business and sales management in a career that spanned twenty years.  Mark couldn’t ignore his passion and genuine interest for gardening and desire to work outdoors which inspired a full circle career change.

Driven to continually learn and develop his skills and knowledge, Mark has completed trade qualifications specific to horticulture as below:

• Certificate III in Sports Turf Management
• Certificate III in Horticulture
• Chemcert AQF3
• Statement of Attainment in WHS Compliance
• Chainsaw Operations in Basic Tree Felling
• White Card
• Undergraduate Certificate in Sustainability with major study in Science of Gardening
